Swati Rallapalli is a machine learning research scientist at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute in the Artificial Intelligence Division. She is broadly interested in machine learning systems.

Previously, she was a research scientist in the Ads Core ML team at Meta Inc. where her work focussed on deep neural network (DNN) models for ad recommendations. Before joining Meta, she was a research staff member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. Her research focused on distributed video analytics using convolutional neural networks (CNNs) on mobile systems under stringent resource constraints. She also worked on multi-modal fusion and vector embeddings of text and graphs using neural networks.

She received her PhD in Computer Science from UT Austin in 2014.
