Abstract
The July 2010 edition of The Monitor, a monthly publication for SEI Members, highlights the latest work from the SEI's Team Software Process (TSP) program including a cover feature on the expansion of TSP into South Africa with an in-depth look at two pilots at Nedbank, one of the country’s four largest banks.
Other features highlight the work the Systems Integration Division of the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) and its success in applying TSP in a non-software environment.
Another story examines TSP from a student's perspective. Shigeru Sasao, a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Software Engineering (MSE) program, was part of a group of students who used TSP to help them create software for an autonomous controller for a robot named SRV-1.
This month's SEI Member profile examines the work of Professor Barry Dwolatzky, CEO and Director of the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE) at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dwolatzky is working to make his country’s information technology industry more competitive in the global marketplace.
Please note that current and future CMMI research, training, and information has been transitioned to the CMMI Institute, a wholly owned subsidiary of ISACA.
