Software Engineering Institute

This course introduces the essential technical and management practices needed to succeed with software product lines and provides guidelines for applying product line techniques. Case studies illustrate the concepts. The course is a prerequisite for the other two courses in the curriculum. Highlights include the essential activities of a software product line (building reusable core assets, building products from the core assets, and managing the entire product line), the Cummins and CCT case studies, and the product line patterns.
