January 9, 2025—The Software Engineering Institute (SEI) this week released the complete set of assets from the 2024 SEI Research Review. The event, held in November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, showcased the most innovative SEI research and development projects from 2024. The 2024 Research Review presentation slides, videos, and posters are available on the event’s website.
The theme of this year’s event, Crafting Connections, highlighted the SEI’s collaborative research advancements designed to address the four big software challenges for national defense and security: capability, timeliness, affordability, and trustworthiness. SEI researchers presented tools, techniques, and processes and the positive impact of these technologies on the Defense Department’s mission.
The presentation slides and videos detail some of the SEI’s most forward-leaning research and development:
- artificial intelligence robustness (AIR) tool
- co-design for edge AI
- detecting indicators of malicious code insertions
- explainable verification for rapid certification
- modeling container reproducibility failures
- large-scale assurance
The materials from the event’s poster session cover topics such as software cost estimation, model-based software engineering processes, rapid software evolution, security operations centers, integrating large language models in software supply chain workflows, and more.
Access all the 2024 SEI Research Review presentations, videos, and posters on the event’s website. The presentation videos are also available on the SEI’s YouTube channel.
