Abstract
The Portable, High-Performance Inference at the Tactical Edge (PHITE) project aims to develop the foundations of a high-performance software stack to support DoD Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) workloads that will be run on ultra-low power (embedded) devices at the tactical edge.
PHITE shows promise for advancing ML on the edge for:
- force protection
- predictive maintenance
- persistent surveillance
- humanitarian operations
- autonomous military robotics
- space operations and intelligence
