Abstract

Monitoring institutionalization is vital to building assurance that an organization will be successful in achieving its process improvement targets.

The SCAMPI method provides a snapshot of the level of maturity or capability, including the level of institutionalization. However, the process is expensive in terms of time and effort- providing assurance in advance is important in building an organization's confidence in success.

Please note that current and future CMMI research, training, and information has been transitioned to the CMMI Institute, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University.
