As organizations move applications, data, and infrastructure to the cloud, the need for monitoring does not decrease, but it does change. This talk would highlight several directions of this change, illustrated by the flow log data generated by cloud providers. Specific usage scenarios will be discussed, in terms of Software-, Platform-, and Infrastructure-as-a-service hosting models. The tradeoff between the shared security model and network visibility will be specifically highlighted.
