Abstract
Established in 2019 in response to Executive Order 13870: America’s Cybersecurity Workforce, the President’s Cup Cybersecurity Competition is a national cyber event established to identify, challenge, and reward the best cybersecurity talent in the federal workforce. The competition consists of individual and team challenges that focus on areas in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (NICE Framework). All participants require an extensive skill set to complete; after success in two qualifying rounds, competitors participate in one final round, in person, in the Washington, DC area.
